My Story

My journey with speaking started early. I had an amazing English teacher, Mrs. Lawrence, who spotted my love of words and saw something in me before I did. She encouraged me to grow my skills, and before long, I was debating competitively and learning how powerful it feels to stand up and be heard.

That love of speaking followed me through university, into my career, and eventually into teaching. For more than 20 years, I’ve been helping others present, teach, and lead through communication. One of my proudest chapters was teaching Communications at the University of the Sunshine Coast, where I worked with hundreds of students watching them grow from nervous beginners to confident, articulate speakers.

I’ve also had the privilege of presenting at conferences across Australia and internationally, winning the People’s Choice Award in the inaugural 3-Minute Thesis competition at the University of Queensland, and being a featured speaker at PebbleBash in the UK.
